Keith Krause │ Toda Peace Institute Public Seminar

February 7, 2025

In his presentation, “Peace in Pieces: Rebuilding Global Security Architectures”, Dr Keith Krause interprets his presentation title in two ways: the negative one is that the global hopes for peace are shattered like a tea cup broken into pieces, falling on the floor. Peace is in pieces. The less negative one, is that if we want to rebuild towards a more peaceful world order, we need to do so piece by piece. He backgrounds how we arrived at this point and describes the building blocks that we can use to reconstruct in the long run, a more peaceful, global, regional, national and local world in the face of this crisis.

This presentation was part of a seminar ‘Building Peace in an Unpredictable World: Global Implications of Trump 2.0’, recorded in Tokyo on 7 February 2025 with an invited audience and hosted by the Toda Peace Institute.
