Jordan Ryan is a Senior Consultant to the Folke Bernadotte Academy and Senior Counsel (Social Impact) for Hamilton Advisors. He is also a former Vice President for Peace Programs at The Carter Center, where he led strategic planning and implementation of peacebuilding initiatives worldwide from 2015-2018.

Mr. Ryan recently completed an assignment as the lead author of the UN integration review for the Executive Office of the Secretary-General in New York. He previously held senior roles within the United Nations from 2009-2014, including UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Assistant Administrator.

As part of his distinguished UN career, Mr. Ryan served as Deputy Special Representative in Liberia from 2006-2009, leading the recovery and governance pillar of the peacekeeping mission. He was also UN Resident Coordinator in Vietnam from 2001-2005.

Mr. Ryan has graduate degrees in international affairs and law from Columbia University and George Washington University. He received his B.A. from Yale University and was a fellow at Harvard's Kennedy School.
