Yasodara Córdova

Yasodara Córdova is a Public Information Technologist, former Senior Fellow both at the Digital Kennedy School, a Belfer Center’s project at Harvard and at the Berkman Klein Center. She worked as a Web Specialist at the World Wide Web Consortium, leading standards’ development for data on the Web and participating in the development of web payment standards. She was the Director of the “Serenata de Amor Operation”, a civic tech project in Brazil. Previous to that, she worked for the UN as a consultant in government and Innovation at the Brazilian government, developing platforms and public policies for public consultation and participative law-making processes. She also worked with multimedia journalism and data visualization, and she’s the recipient of one of the biggest prizes in Journalism and Human Rights in Brazil. Yaso is a Board Director of the Ciudadania Inteligente, a Latin American Civic Tech foundation, and was part of the advisor’s team of the Open Knowledge Foundation Brazil and the CodingRights think tank. Yaso is a co-founder of the Calango Hackerspace, in Brasilia, Brazil.
