Khalil Fadl Osman is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies and Fellow at Demos Tunisia. His career spans academia, journalism and diplomacy, including 15 years in different capacities with the UN in Sudan, Iraq, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Somalia. Dr. Osman has a PhD in Politics from the University of Exeter and taught at Indiana University and the American University of Kurdistan (Iraq). His publications include Sectarianism in Iraq: The Making of State and Nation since 1920, Kirkuk: The Dialectics of Numbers and Narratives (in Arabic), and the forthcoming co-edited book Yemen at the Crossroads: Crisis and Reconstruction.
