Judith Nora Hardt works as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg and at the Centre Marc Bloch, Berlin. Her research is based on a critical-normative approach and aims to develop the conceptualizations of security, conflict, human well-being and justice via the new readings of humannature relations. The forms and roles of agency, expertise, power and normative foundations within global governance are further constitutive elements of her research. Currently she focuses on the emerging climate security governance complex. In this context, Judith works in close cooperation with the German Foreign Ministry of Affairs with the aim to develop new policy approaches and recommendations in order to overcome the several challenges of the climate security field with the joined forces of the triangulation of theory and practice. Recent publications include (2018) “Environmental Security in the Anthropocene: Assessing theory and practice” (Routledge). She is active in the ScientistsForFuture.
