Guangtao Wang is an Associate Professor at the Center for Japanese Studies, Fudan University, China. His research focuses on Japanese domestic politics and foreign policy, China–Japan relations, and East Asian international relations. His recent publications include ‘Bridging the Gap between International Relations and Area Studies’ in International Affairs (2026) and ‘China’s Political Discourse on the Diaoyu/Senkaku Islands’ in The Journal of Contemporary China (2026). He has also contributed commentary to international media on Japanese politics, security issues, and China–Japan relations.
