Claudia Fry is a PhD researcher with University of Exeter, based in Suva, Fiji, focused on just adaptation and climate (im)mobilities governance and a researcher with Toda Peace Institute, working on culturally grounded approaches to peacebuilding in climate displacement. She bridges research to policy and practice through collaborating with civil society organisations and actively contributing to regional policy forums in the Pacific, committed to climate action grounded in culture, human rights and traditional knowledge. She collaborates with coastal communities drawing on research methods grounded in the Vanua to highlight Indigenous governance systems and their role in climate security, mobility, loss and damage, and adaptation.
