Chaiwat Satha-Anand is Professor of Political Science at Thammasat University, Bangkok, and Founder and Director of the Thai Peace Information Centre. He is the author of Nonviolence and Islamic Imperatives (2017), and “The Governor, The Cow Head, and the Thrashing Pillows: Negotiated “Restrictive Islam” in Twenty-First Century Southeast Asia” (in Religions, 2022).
