In her presentation, “From polarization to domination: The battle for democracy in a fast-changing world”, Olivia Stokes Dreier speaks about the threat to democracy in the world posed by the United States and other states around the world. She presents trends in indicators for democracy, and asks what the impact of the second Trump administration will be on the world. Finally, she introduces a Toda initiative, Democracy Lighthouse, a web platform which gathers information on the work being done by democracy institutes and civil society organisations all over the world.
