Kung-Yueh Camyale Chao has been working in the public affairs fields for more than 20 years. Currently, he is the Executive Director of International Climate Development Institute (ICDI). Mr Chao has also served as the General Secretary of the International Forum of Meteorological Societies (IFMS) from January 2016 to September 2018 and has been elected as the Treasurer of IFMS since September 2019. Prior to this position, he served as the Deputy Director of APEC Research Center for Typhoon and Society (ACTS) for four years.He wrote the Introduction chapter of the book Impact of Climate Change on Taiwan’s Overall Security (2010, in both Chinese and English), edited by Tai-Jen George Chen and Tzong-Ho Bau, and published by Cross-Strait Interflow Prospect Foundation, Taipei. He is also the Chief Editor of ‘Global Smart Solution Report (GSSR)’, which is co-published by ICDI and ICLEI.
