Daniela Campello

Daniela Campello is an Associate Professor of Politics and International Affairs at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation in Brazil. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from UCLA and was previously an Assistant Professor at Princeton University. She has been a CAF Fellow at the University of Oxford and a Resident Fellow at the Wilson Center for International Scholars. In 2026, she will serve as a Tinker Fellow at the Institute for Latin American Studies (ILAS) at Columbia University.
Campello’s research has been published in leading political science journals, and she is the author of The Politics of Market Discipline in Latin America (Cambridge University Press, 2015) and co-author of The Volatility Curse (Cambridge University Press, 2020). She is currently working on a new book project, provisionally titled Obstructing the Future: The Politics of Climate Policy in Brazil.
