Dan Plesch is Professor of Diplomacy and Strategy at SOAS University of London and leads the project there on the Strategic Concept for the Removal of Arms and Proliferation. |His co-authored report on strategic conventional counterforces attracted global media attention. He coedited the book Open Source Investigations in the Age of Google that has become a primer in the field of OSINT research. The scrapweapons.com project is engaged with the UN system and enables new generations to engage in peace research and advocacy. In the 1980s he created the British American Security Information Council that was and still is a leader in arms control and disarmament research and development. He also works on International Criminal Law being a member of the 9BR Barristers’ Chambers in London and a Fellow of the British Institute for International and Comparative Law.
