Interview: Politics of India's Nuclear Policies

In this interview, Professor Ramesh Thakur, Senior Research Fellow of the Toda Peace Institute, discusses the politics of India's nuclear policies, its interest in joining the Nuclear Suppliers Group, and bilateral relations with New Zealand. The larger context is the changing Indo-Pacific geopolitical order and the China-India-Japan equations as a major driver of that order. He also identifies areas where India and New Zealand could potentially cooperate in nudging the world towards nuclear risk reductions and disarmament.
